Website for Little Italy Brigg: Helping a Family-Run Restaurant Shine Online

Ola Jakubus

One of my favourite things about working with small businesses is the chance to really get to know the people behind them. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Little Italy Brigg, a cosy family-run Italian restaurant tucked away in the market town of Brigg, North Lincolnshire.

This project was part of my Small Business Package – a service I offer to help local businesses across Lincolnshire (and beyond) get online with confidence, clarity and a bit of personality.

A Website That Keeps Things Simple – Just Like the Restaurant

Little Italy Brigg is the kind of place where you walk in and feel immediately at home. It’s warm, relaxed, and intimate, with a classic Italian menu and a welcoming atmosphere. The owner, Chaz (my friend Rom's dad), wanted a website that reflected exactly that – simple, straightforward, and full of heart.

We didn’t need anything flashy. Just:

  • A clean, mobile-friendly website
  • Easy-to-find contact details and opening hours
  • A clear “Call Us” button to make bookings easy
  • An online menu to tempt visitors with their Italian dishes

You can visit the website here: littleitalybrigg.com

The restaurant prefers to keep things traditional, so online bookings weren’t necessary. It was all about encouraging potential customers to pick up the phone and speak to someone directly, just like the experience inside the restaurant.

A Classic Logo and Business Cards to Match

As part of the package, I also designed a simple, timeless logo for Little Italy and created business cards that matched the look and feel of the site. Nothing too modern or trendy – just something that felt classic, trustworthy, and in keeping with the restaurant’s family-run spirit.

Everything was designed to be cohesive and easy to manage. No complicated systems or fussy updates, just good design that works.

Solving a Google Maps Headache

One of the biggest hurdles was claiming their Google My Business profile. The location had previously been a café, and the old listing was still showing up online. To make matters trickier, the previous owner couldn’t remember their login details, which meant Chaz couldn’t access the listing or correct any of the outdated information.

I stepped in and helped sort it all out. I submitted the verification requests, updated the restaurant’s details, added fresh photos, and optimised their listing for local SEO.

Thanks to the updated profile, Little Italy Brigg now appears correctly on Google Maps, is easier to find, and is building a great reputation with a growing number of glowing reviews. They’re currently sitting at 4.7 stars and climbing.
