Tutu the Feisty Pup: A Custom Pet Portrait That Captured His Spirit

There’s something special about capturing a pet’s personality on paper, especially when it’s a surprise gift for someone who adores them. One of my favourite recent commissions was a portrait of Tutu – a small, scruffy, and wonderfully cheeky rescue dog. His story, and the joy the illustration brought, reminded me why I love creating custom pet portraits so much.

Drawing Tutu – A Portrait Full of Personality

Tutu, also affectionately known as Tutek, was adopted by a dear friend of my client. He’s got the fluffy charm of a Spitz and a bit of Pomeranian bounce, but it’s his character that really stands out. He’s bold, playful, and a bit of a rascal – in the best possible way.

In his portrait, I wanted to capture all those little details that make him unique. He’s wearing his favourite harness and holding his most-loved toy, looking proud and slightly mischievous. My client wanted to give the artwork as a birthday gift, and it was lovely to hear how touched the recipient was.
